I LOVE web design. And I LOVE helping female entrepreneurs build their businesses. I have been offering fully custom website packages to female entrepreneurs for a while now, but I still felt like there was some point that I was missing.
Something that I needed to do wasn’t being brought into the world. But it hadn’t dawned on me what that something was. Until about a month ago, that is.
I have always had a tender spot in my heart for female entrepreneurs who are just starting out. Women who are putting those first few deposits of “you can do it’s” into their personal self-love accounts. Allowing themselves to dream the “what if’s” and take those first steps at achieving them.
And it finally dawned on me that I need to offer simplified web design packages to these women. Give them a website they can be proud of, without limiting them to the choices they get with a free WordPress theme, without making them take time away from their passion to try their hand at web design. But to do this without taking every penny they have thus far.
They need and want something quick. Something affordable. Something pretty, and unique, and manageable. And that’s how I came up with my Quick Whip package. And the response to this package has been astounding! (Updated to add: this package is no longer available. So sorry!)
I wanted to share with you today the very first of the websites I’ve done as one of these packages. Just to show you that you don’t have to try to do everything yourself. You don’t have to learn web design and spend hours and hours just to have something that you don’t even really like. To show you what’s possible…….
So I’m going to show you a before and after of the first site I redesigned with this model. It was a lot of fun to see a site, envision what it could be, and then quickly bring that vision to life.
My first client to hire me for this package was the lovely Delia Joseph, a lifestyle coach. She knew that she wanted a bit more color added into her page, but she liked the cleanliness of the white background.
She has a signature program and saying, and she wanted to dress the look of that up a bit. She had a few visual elements in mind that she wanted to use, but gave me free reign of the rest.
This is her homepage before the redesign:
*Note: The Schedule Now button wasn’t really in 3 places on her page – I used the Nimbus Screenshot App within Chrome to take the screenshot and it captured the button several times during the screenshot.
Delia asked me to redesign her header, come up with a new color palette, and help her decide on fonts. I think the result is pretty breathtaking.
This is her homepage after the redesign:
Once we nailed down Delia’s new color palette and fonts (which was easy as it could be!), and we talked a bit about the visual elements that Delia liked and wanted to incorporate into her site, I created the header and divider to create brand cohesion. The visuals and color palette went together so well that it was easy to bring everything together!
Delia was quite pleased with the result, too. Here are her thoughts on the process:
Lori unleashed my fears about hiring a Web Designer! I would highly recommend her because of the quality of her work and her professionalism!! Her PASSION shows in her work!!!
If you’d like to see how the whole site came together, click here to check it out! It was such a pleasure bringing this new design to Delia’s business. It feels so good to help women put their vision into colors and images and put them out into the world.
If you’d like help getting your vision “whipped into shape,” please contact me so we can get you on the schedule! Like I said earlier, this offering has caught the attention of many. So get yourself on my calendar soon so we can make your web dream your web reality, too!
